"Rubberstampers"

Approved Also known as, "The Pelosi Club."  This is the group of Superdelegates who have at one point in this election process said that they would be endorsing the candidate leading among the pledged delegates.  As of Tuesday, this will be Senator Obama.  But it will be interesting to see how many refrain from endorsing out of respect to Senator Clinton, and what her actions will be following tomorrow's primary results.

Seems to me that there's a pretty big incentive for the remaining undelcared supers to come out en masse on Wednesday: namely, as a way of preemptively defusing the FL/MI issue. If Obama can reach the 2025 number later this week, then that would put him in a position to be much more generous (to Clinton) with regard to how FL and MI are seated. Otherwise, we face a lot more heated wrangling...and 10 days with not much else to talk about.

You gotta think that Nancy won't come out and endorse right now--but she'll have a twinkle and a devilish smirk when reporters ask her who she favors (when she professes neutrality.)

I don’t think that there is much generosity available from Obama or the DNC.

The DNC must re-establish it’s authority if it is to ensure that this mess of a primary is never repeated.

Obama can’t be sure of how far he is ahead. As Hillary has made clear, there is no such thing as a Pledged Delegate. It has always been clear that Super Delegates can change their minds with the weather. If you were Obama, how much of a sporting chance would you give the Clintons?
