I like to try to end the week on a light note, and today I found a gem over at the jedreport.com. It's a clip of Fox & Friends attempting to catch FPBO (Future President Barack Obama) plagiarizing Mario Cuomo.
Honestly, you can't make this stuff up - hilarious. See the clip here.
And a good weekend to you all!
Thanks for the laugh. I try not to watch Fox News, but if I might watch it more often if I knew laughter might be the end result.

Actually, I'm surprised that no one has commented on the routine and brazen plagiarism of the guy who came up with the word 'the' ...

That was funny! I appreciate the clip. Fox jumped the shark a while ago.

They've got another good clip of McCain and a good one to think about for all the voters going from Hillary over to him because they feel outed:
http://www.jedreport.com/2008/06/green-screen--1.html
It goes hand-in-hand with that other link I posted to that nasty site I don't want to post again. Alas, it's the most common term I heard used to describe Sen. Clinton during my time as a Republican. That sentiment hasn't vanished due to the hope of picking up Hillary voters, either, based on the stuff I still get forwarded from time to time.
I have another link I didn't post here describing how, even though people find negativity like that disgusting and say it doesn't change their votes, it does change them if they hear enough of it. Republicans have been doing that to Hillary for as long as I can remember knowing who she was. So if you want to know one big reason she had so much trouble, look to the Republican negative campaign, because it's been going on longer against her than anyone I can name.

If you listen to the entire clip, The second Cuomo clip has "if he traveled" in it. This is a case of bad editing on the FauxNews back room staff. I guess the talking heads do not see the clips that go out over the air.
This is not to say I think they are not a waste of bandwidth, they are, but beat them up for what they screw up and their bias. The expert saying "The Democrats have not had a new idea since '80." is the real outrage here.

Let me explain this so you guys can comprehend. If you want to get some very positive Obama and very negative McCain stories … you go to MSNBC. FoxNews will have the very negative Obama & very positive McCain. CNN will be closest to neutral but miss many stories in fear of losing their neutrality. If you don’t have time, watch the only true reporter left, Tim Russert. He may have his bias (everybody does) but he keeps it in check the best. He will ask a very tough question to all parties. That seem like attacks, but are usually legitimate questions if we want a strong leader.
Now the clips. The first one was about foreign oil destroying the modern USA economy today and the other being foreign steel destroying the 80s USA economy. 20 years from now it will be the foreign _____ destroying the economy.
The second one was about the current Presidents of that time being out of touch with the common man.
It wasn’t about stealing straight words but about stealing themes (foreign material / out of touch). Obama was the one that said the Democrats haven’t had a good idea since Reagan’s time (the 80s). I’m not going to defend Fox News (nor would I defend MSNBC), but this idiot “Turk” playing stupid is more amusing than Fox News itself. Maybe he wasn’t playing.
I can tell this is going to be a very depressing election cycle, but probably not as depressing as 2009-2013. It isn’t about Dem v. Rep (isn’t that what Obama says?). It is about forcing BOTH candidates to give us a solid “plan”. I’d give them both a “D” so far.

Well, is it really surprising that we have the same issues from 20 years ago? :) It's crazy to call that "plagiarism" too. I dunno, just can't imagine making a news clip about that. When is the last time there was a politician who didn't talk about such things or never used generalities? (Now if there was one who was never caught using them, THAT might be worthy of a clip).
And you left out ABC. I saw some pretty biased stuff there, but you're right about MSNBC & Fox. I find that Google News is a great way to compare. You'll often find one or more news sources that are disconnected from reality.

Truth: thanks for the news flash regarding Fox and MSNBC. I'm sure nobody knew that.
As for the rest: plagiarism is defined as "the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work."
Fox was claiming plagiarism, Young Turks were rightly calling Fox out for failing to back-up their claims.

Well, there are still people who maintain that Fox is "fair and balanced" (doubtless due to facts having a "well-known liberal bias") ...
It's ABC that I was somewhat surprised to see was as biased as they were. They stood off about as far from reality as Fox did on many stories.
MSNBC I didn't notice so much, mostly because I wasn't watching them and I don't remember reading many, if any, articles from them. Hard to see bias if you don't see their reporting to begin with :)

MSNBC was disgusting this year. Truly one of the worst channels I've seen. I used to like watching them, but I am now boycotting them. I watch CNN (I can't watch Fox either, for obvious reasons). I agree with Pat Schroeder and others that Howard Dean and other leaders of the DNC should be ashamed of themselves (and should apologize) for not immediately standing up against the instances of misogyny during the campaign, many of which came from MSNBC. David Shuster and Tucker Carlson said things almost weekly. Keith Olbermann was disgusting, suggesting Clinton be taken into a room with no windows and beaten. And I could go on. Will the Democratic leaders apologize for their lack of leadership on calling out these instances? Howard Dean appropriately and immediately responded to racism that came out during the campaign, but he didn't say a word about the things said against women. I am waiting for Howard Dean to apologize. If he doesn't, he either doesn't care about sexism within the Democratic party and media and/or he favored Obama all along so stepped in to stop bad racial instances, but not bad sexist instances.
