And finally...a gem from Fox News

FncI like to try to end the week on a light note, and today I found a gem over at the jedreport.com.  It's a clip of Fox & Friends attempting to catch FPBO (Future President Barack Obama) plagiarizing Mario Cuomo.

Honestly, you can't make this stuff up - hilarious.  See the clip here.

And a good weekend to you all!

Things Younger Than McCain

Alaska300x225 After a week's worth of heated conversation, I like to try to end the week on a light note.  And if you ever want to read an archive of the Friday chuckles, click on the "funny" link in the category cloud to the right of this page.

Came across a gem of a site this week entitled "Things Younger Than McCain."  It's just funny - it's not meant to offend any of our older readers (by the way the site does mention that "ageism" is younger than John McCain).

A few notables:

  • The Golden Gate Bridge
  • Kraft Macaroni & Cheese
  • The Slinky
  • The Area Code
  • and Penicillin

...are all younger than John McCain.

And one of my favorite posts from the site:

"Alaska - the freaking state - is younger than John McCain.  And, for that matter, so is Hawaii. McCain is older than two of the fifty states."

Have a great and safe holiday weekend, everyone.

Close Encounters of the Electoral Kind

CnnspanEnding the week on a light note: once upon a time we used to watch election returns in the form of animated graphics.  That is until John King gave us all a new form of tech-envy with his giant lite-brite touch-screen.

The good folks at 23/6 have taken John King's Super-sized iPhone map and synchronized it with footage from Stephen Speilberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind.  It's all starting to make sense now...

Have a good weekend.

Political Funnies

Stewart_colbertEnding the week on a light note - Chris Cillizza notes the battle for voter's hearts and minds isn't just at the ballot box - it's also at the cable box.

Recently, John Stewart spoke with Superdelegate Tom Daschle and Stephen Colbert huddled with Superdelegate Donna Brazille.

Also: if you missed any of this presidential primary season, here it is in 7 minutes.  And former presidential candidate Bill Richardson is still making commercials.

Anatomy of a Superdelegate

Funny_bone Here's a funny from today's LA Times on the anatomy of a Superdelegate.  By the way I think I am giving in to the one-word spelling of that term.  Guess if ya can't beat 'em...

The SNL-ification of the Democratic Nomination

Morgan2khFey

Updated: The presidential nomination goes pop culture on us.  Tracey Morgan does a bit for Obama, Tina Fey does something for Hillary.
